About

Hello, I’m Léa.

I write short French lessons for people who are going to France and want to get by politely: order a coffee, buy a train ticket, ask the way, check into a hotel, say something kind to the person who helped them.

This is not a course that takes you to a level. It’s the French you will actually say during your trip, in the situations you will actually be in, and nothing else.

How the lessons work

Each lesson follows the same simple pattern: a small set of useful words, the key phrases built from them, a short dialogue that shows them in use, a cultural tip that saves you an awkward moment, and a quick exercise. Every French phrase comes with a pronunciation written for English speakers, so you can read it aloud straight away.

Why “for the price of a coffee”

Each book of five lessons costs about as much as a coffee in Paris. No subscription, no app, no account to create. You download the PDF, you keep it, you read it on the plane.

The first book is free, so you can see whether my way of teaching suits you before you spend anything.

Bon voyage,
Léa
